Who am I?

At the heart of my workshop is a simple belief: exceptional leather goods should be built with purpose, precision, and character.

I'm a mathematician with a passion for cycling and traditional leathercraft, every piece I create is thoughtfully designed to balance form and function. Whether it's a well-worn wallet, a dependable belt, or a beautifully crafted bag, my designs and products are made to accompany you through years of everyday adventures.

I use only the finest locally sourced leather and premium hardware, carefully selecting materials that age gracefully and develop a unique patina over time. Every cut, stitch, and finish reflects my commitment to quality, durability, and timeless design.

I don't believe in fast fashion or mass production. I believe in making fewer things, and making them exceptionally well. Crafted by hand, built to last, and designed to be carried for a lifetime.

What I do.

I design and handcraft traditional leather briefcases, messenger bags, belts, wallets, and hand-tooled leather goods, combining timeless craftsmanship with practical, modern functionality.

My passion for cycling has led me to specialise in bespoke leather cycling bags that are built to withstand a lifetime of use. Every bag is designed with the needs of cyclists in mind, without compromising on style or craftsmanship.

My messenger bags are engineered to attach securely to standard pannier racks, allowing them to transition effortlessly from the bike to the office while retaining the look and comfort of a traditional leather messenger bag. I also create bespoke leather bags for Brompton bicycles, designed to mount directly onto the Brompton front carrier block without affecting the balance, comfort, or usability of the bag when carried off the bike.

My signature leather frame bags have become a favourite among commuters and touring cyclists alike. Handcrafted to fit seamlessly within your bicycle frame, they offer secure, weather-resistant storage while complementing the timeless aesthetics of steel and modern bicycles alike. Available with or without our integrated U-lock holster, these bags provide a practical and elegant solution for carrying your everyday essentials and security lock without compromising ride quality or the clean lines of your bicycle. They are made custom to your bike and take just over a month from order to post.

The materials I use.

The quality of a leather good begins long before the first cut is made. That's why I carefully select every material that goes into our work, choosing suppliers who share my commitment to craftsmanship, durability, and traditional manufacturing.

My leather is sourced from J. Wood Leathers, one of Britain's most respected leather merchants. I work exclusively with full-grain vegetable-tanned leather, selected for its strength, character, and ability to develop a rich patina over years of use. Every piece of leather is hand dyed using Fiebing's Pro Dye, allowing us to achieve rich, lasting colours while preserving the natural beauty and individuality of the hide. These are leathers that improve with age, telling the story of every journey, commute, and adventure.

For my fittings and hardware, I use solid brass and copper hardware supplied by Abbey England, renowned for producing some of the finest equestrian and leatherworking hardware available. Unlike plated alternatives, solid metal fittings wear beautifully and are built to last a lifetime alongside the leather they complement.

Every item is stitched entirely by hand using waxed Ritza Tiger Thread, widely regarded as one of the strongest and most reliable threads available to leatherworkers. I use the traditional saddle stitch throughout my work—a centuries-old technique that creates a stronger, more durable seam than machine stitching. Each stitch is individually locked by hand, ensuring that if one stitch is damaged, the integrity of the seam remains intact.

Every edge is carefully shaped, sealed, and hand burnished to produce a smooth, durable finish that not only withstands decades of use but also reflects the timeless aesthetic of traditional leather craftsmanship. It's a slower process than edge paint, but one we believe creates a more beautiful and enduring result.

I stand behind every piece I make with a lifetime workmanship guarantee. In the unlikely event that the stitching on your leather goods should fail through normal use, I will repair it free of charge. I design and build products to last a lifetime, and I believe my commitment to customers should last just as long.
